This week as we complete Ezekiel and move into Daniel we will again see the vivid imagery of the book of Ezekiel revealed in one of the most amazing prophecies in the Bible. I am sure that many of you have heard of the song "Them Bones", about Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones. Well in Ezekiel chapter 37 we see this song played out in the Bible. God shows Ezekiel by the Spirit a valley full of dry bones which God then amazingly tells Ezekiel to prophecy back to life and they do! We then find out that this is a message of hope to the people in exile from Jerusalem, that even though their city has been destroyed and they have been taken into exile, that God will bring them back as a nation and the will live again in their beloved city! Later in the week we will be starting the book of Daniel. Daniel is one of my favorite men in biblical history. Even though David was a man after God's own heart we know that he was also a man of sin. I am sure that Daniel was too because we all are, but we see in the book of Daniel that he was also a man of integrity who stood up for what he believed and never faltered. In chapter 2 of Daniel we will see him do the seemingly impossible for King Nebuchadnezzar by interpreting his dream. Great stuff!
