One of main themes for this week's reading would be Judgments. Beginning in chapter 46 and going through 51 Jeremiah prophecies 9 different judgments against just about every prominent nation of the time:
Egypt, Philista, Moab, Ammon, Edom, Damascus, Kedar and Hazor (Arabia), Elam and finally Babylonia. Not only did he declare what would happen to these countries but he named names! Babylonia would conquer Egypt, Egypt would conquer Philista, etc.
It's interesting to note that some of the countries, like Egypt, Moab and Ammon, Jeremiah foretells that God will restore them at some point, but others like Philista and Babylon he declares that God will completely destroy them, never to rise again.
And just like we see over and over again in the Bible, that is exactly what happens...imagine that!
