Questions:

This week we are going to be looking at one of the more famous stories in the Bible. The story of Esther. I think that this is a good example of how God has a plan that none of use can really see, but we can trust that he is in control. As you read Esther remember that Ezra and Nehemiah both lived during this time period and that many scholars believe that the king that sent Nehemiah to Jerusalem to build the wall and allowed Ezra to finish the temple was either Esther's husband or her stepson! Think about how all that combines with Jeremiah's prophesy 70 years before that even though the Jews were going to be exiled to Babylon he promised to bring them back again! What a great God!!

As we move into Job I would have to say that I believe that Job is one of the harder books in the Bible to read. It is such a sad story and in many ways it seems unfair. However as we read this book there are many life lessons that we can take from it:

- That when bad things happen it is not always a result of sin in our life!

- Conversely when good things happen it is not always because we have been good!

- As fellow Christians we need to remember that we are not God and therefore we should not make judgments about people because of their
circumstances.

These are just a few of the lessons that we will read this week.
