Questions:

This week we are going to be learning about one of the most popular and most important people in the entire Bible, David, shepherd boy, soldier and king. God Himself called David "a man after His own heart", so you would think that David was one of the most righteous men to have ever lived, but that was certainly not true.

David was a sinner, in many ways, just like you and I. So why did God call him "a man after my own heart"?

As you are reading this week take note of the different things that David does that show that he was a sinner, but also look for the things that he did that would make God love him so! As you do, take stock of your own relationship with God, are you confident in God's love for you, and your love for Him?

Also, even though God loved David and David loved Him there were still consequences to David's sin. Take note of those as well, and how he responded to those consequences.
